Shortly after buying Traveller's Tales Warner Brothers have announced that Lego Batman will be arriving next year!
Lego Batman is set to liberate our consoles in 2008 and brings the Caped Crusader to life in the same fantastic way that Travellers Tales managed to deliver the Star Wars Universe to us.
Players are set to be able to explore a rich and interactive Lego version of Gotahm City, playing as Batman and The Boy Wonder (Robin to you youngsters). Obviosuly you'll be out to capture infamous villains and ultimately get the ability to play as them as well!
The storyline sees Batman's greatest foes escaping from the iconic Arkham Asylum and, as is their usually MO, creating mayhem throughout Gotham City.
Player's will obviously have to track the infamous villains (including everyones favourites The Joker and The Penguin) and use Batman's various gadgets as well as building some amazing vehicles to catch them with.
“Batman spans several generations as one of the most popular DC Super Heroes, and LEGO BATMAN will appeal to several generations of gamers who grew up idolizing the Dark Knight and playing with LEGO toys,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “Working with TT Games, we are confident they will continue their LEGO games’ success with this title, and we will expand our publishing endeavors with the introduction of the LEGO BATMAN franchise.”
“We’re sure our fans will be excited to know that we have the same fantastic team at Traveller’s Tales responsible for LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Star Wars II working on LEGO BATMAN,” said Tom Stone, Director of TT Games Publishing.
